Richard Miller (founder of iRest) and, in 2015, became the first certified iRest Teacher in NZ. She completed her iRest trainings with Dr. Una has been offering iRest classes, workshops and private sessions in Wellington for eight years. This type of mindful meditation practice can be explored in either a group setting, or in a dyad (in co-meditation with a facilitator). It has been scientifically shown to help reduce issues with: IRest is a well researched form of meditative inquiry that helps heal unresolved issues and traumas, neutralise negative emotions, beliefs and memories, and increase overall wellbeing. In an iRest meditation/yoga therapy class we move through a series of ten steps, learning how to be fully present with our bodies, breath, emotions, thoughts, and overall sense of self.
